Broken Appointments
A broken appointment is a loss to more than one person:
- The patient who missed the valuable time
- Another patient who could have used and needed that valuable time
- The dentist who is fully staffed and prepared for the appointment
Our practice considers a broken appointment to be:
- A cancellation with less than 24 hours notice
- If a patient does not show up at all
- If a patient shows up 10 minutes past the appointment time without prior notice
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please give us the courtesy of 24 hours notice.
This allows another patient in urgent need of care, to receive treatment in your absence.
A broken appointment or arriving too late to perform treatment can result in a cancellation charge.
We aim to place a courtesy reminder call or SMS to you prior to your appointment. Please take note that if you do not receive your reminder call or SMS, your appointment remains your responsibility to attend or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance.
Our practice reserves the right not to offer any appointments to patients who have:
- Broken an appointment
- An outstanding account
The motivating factor behind these policies is our care for the quality of service that we provide to you and our other valued patients.
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Should you need to change your appointment please contact us at least 24 hours prior on (03) 5495 2559.
